Viking 3
was the third of the six Papenburg sisters, delivered to
Viking Line
partner Sally in 1970, for the Kapellskär-Mariehamn-Naantali route. She was transferred to another Sally company,
Vaasanlaivat/Vasabåtarna
, as the
Wasa Express
between 1976-83, and again from 1984-88. In 1983-84 she returned to her original name of
Viking 3
for Ramsgate-Dunkerque service with Sally Line (UK). During this period,
Viking 1
took her place with
Vaasanlaivat/Vasabåtarna
as
Wasa Express
. In 1988 she was sold to
Eckerö Line
and served as the
Roslagen
. She remained in service between Eckerö and Grisslehamn until August 2007.

Viking 3
was the third of the six Papenburg sisters, delivered to
Viking Line
partner Sally in 1970, for the Kapellskär-Mariehamn-Naantali route. She was transferred to another Sally company,

, as the
Wasa Express
between 1976-83, and again from 1984-88. In 1983-84 she returned to her original name of
Viking 3
for Ramsgate-Dunkerque service with Sally Line (UK). During this period,
Viking 1
took her place with
Vaasanlaivat/Vasabåtarna
as
Wasa Express
. In 1988 she was sold to
Eckerö Line
and served as the
Roslagen
.

Roslagen
was built as the
Viking 3
for Rederi AB Sally, part of the
Viking Line
consortium, in 1972. In 1976 she was sold to
Vaasanlaivat/Vasabåtarna
, and served as
Wasa Express
.
Vaasanlaivat/Vasabåtarna
was acquired by Sally in 1982, and she reverted to her original name of
Viking 3
for service on their Ramsgate-Dunkirk service in 1983/4. Later in 1984, she transferred back to
Vaasanlaivat/Vasabåtarna
, and was renamed
Wasa Express
again, until purchase by
Eckerö Line
in 1988, becoming
Roslagen
. She remained in service between Eckerö and Grisslehamn in 2002.
