Stena Danica (1) (1965-1969)
 
Stena Danica (1) was built in France by Ateliers et Chantiers de la Seine-Maritime, LeTrait. Her sistership was the Stena Nordica (1). She entered service with Stena Line between Göteborg/Stenpiren-Frederikshavn in 1965. Stena Danica was the first purpose-built Stena Line car ferry, and introduced the "Stena-" naming system. During the winter of 1967-68, Stena Danica was chartered to Townsend Car Ferries for Dover-Zeebrugge services. In 1969 Stena Danica was sold to Canadian National Railways and renamed Lucy Maud Montgomery. She was used initially between Cape Tormentine and Port Borden, and from 1971 between North Sydney and Port aux Basques. In 1975, Lucy Maud Montgomery was chartered to Cooperative de Transport et Aeriens (C.T.M.A.). She entered service between Grindstone, Magdalen Islands and Souris, Prince Edward Island. In 1977, the service was taken over by the Canadian Ministry of Transport. Lucy Maud Montgomery was laid up in 1998, and briefly renamed Hull 209. She was sold in 1999, with the intention of running gambling cruises out of Key West, but she remained laid up in Key West under the name Lady Clare I.

Stena Nordica (1) (1965-1973)
The Londoner (1) (1965)
 
Stena Nordica was built in France by Ateliers et Chantiers de la Seine-Maritime, LeTrait. Her sistership was the Stena Danica. She entered service with Stena Line between Tilbury (London) and Calais under the marketing name of The Londoner in July 1965. From October to December 1965 she operated as the Jãtten Finn between Stockholm and Mariehamn. From January 1966, Stena Nordica was chartered for use on the Sealink service between Stranraer and Larne, which continued until 1970. From 1971-1973, Stena Nordica operated on the Stena Line Göteborg-Fredrikshavn route, followed by sale to Venezuelan owners Naviera Nueva Esparta S.A. of Caracas. She was renamed Santa Ana, for a service between Puerto La Cruz and Punta de Piedras. From 1975, registered owners of Santa Ana were Consolidata de Ferrys (Conferrys). She was lost in May 1980.

Stena Baltica (1) had just returned from her maiden voyage.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Stena Germanica (1) (1967-1979)
 
Stena Germanica was built by Langesund Mekaniske Verksted, Langesund, Norway, and entered service on Stena Line route Göteborg-Kiel in April 1967. In November 1967, Stena Germanica had a brief charter with Algerian company C.N.A.N. between Marseille-Algiers. In 1968 Stena Germanica was rebuilt with additional berths. During the summer of 1972, Stena Germanica served between Kiel-Korsör, and the following year between Stockholm-Mariehamn, before returning to Göteborg-Kiel in April 1974. For the next two years Stena Germanica ran on routes Göteborg-Kiel-Korsör and Göteborg-Frederikshavn, but spent time laid up from 1975, with occasional charters, including B&I Line between Swansea-Cork. During 1978, Stena Germanica was chartered to Shell U.K. Exploration & Production Division, and received a helicopter deck aft. She was later chartered to Chevron Oil. During the winter of 1978-79, Stena Germanica briefly returned to the Göteborg-Kiel route, before sale to Corsica Ferries in February 1972 and renamed A.Regina. In April 1979, she began cruising on a San Remo-Ajaccio-Tunis-Valletta-Toarmina-Capri-Bastia-San Remo circuit under the marketing name Sea Club. In 1984, she was chartered to Dominican Ferries, for a route from Mayaguez to San Pedro de Macoris, but was wrecked on 15th February 1985 un Mona Island, 40 miles west of Puerto Rico. She was broken up in 1989.

Stena Britannica (1) (1967-1968)
 
The Stena Line vessel Stena Britannica was built in 1967, as the second of a pair of sisterships built for a new Kiel-Gothenburg service started by Stena Line. Her sister was the Stena Germanica, delivered in the same year, and both were built by A/S Langesunds Mek, in Sandefjord, Norway. When Stena Britannica was delivered, it was considered too soon to add a second ship to the Kiel-Gothenburg service. Stena Britannica was used between Gothenburg and Frederikshavn for 4 months, before being sold to the State of Alaska in April 1968. Between 1968-74 she served on the Alaska Marine Highway as the Wickersham. When purpose-built tonnage arrived on the Alaska service, she was sold to Rederi AB Sally, who renamed her the Viking 6.

Stena Danica (2) (1969-1974)
 
Stena Danica (2) was built by A.G. Weser Werk Seebeck, Bremerhaven. She entered service with Stena Line in 1969 between Göteborg and Fredrikshavn. In 1974, Stena Danica (2) was sold to British Columbia Ferries and renamed Queen of Surrey. Queen of Surrey was used on the Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) to Naaimo service. She was laid up from 1975-80, but was then rebuilt with 208 berths and reintroduced on the Prince Rupert to Port Hardy service as Queen of the North. On 22nd March 2006 Queen of the North hit a rock and sank near Gil Island, 80 miles (129 km) south of Prince Rupert.
