This page is devoted to postcards and photographs of the Stena Line vessel Stena Danica (2) of 1969.
 
Stena Danica (2) was built by A.G. Wesser Werk Seebeck, Bremerhaven. She entered service with Stena Line in 1969 between Göteborg and Fredrikshavn. In 1974, Stena Danica (2) was sold to British Columbia Ferries and renamed Queen of Surrey. Queen of Surrey was used on the Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) to Nanaimo service. She was laid up from 1975-80, but was then rebuilt with 208 berths and reintroduced on the Prince Rupert to Port Hardy service as Queen of the North. On 22nd March 2006 Queen of the North hit a rock and sank near Gil Island, 80 miles (129 km) south of Prince Rupert.
