SGV Uri - 1901

Schifffahrtsgesellschaft des Vierwaldstättersees (SGV)

Uri was built in 1901 by Gebrüder Sulzer of Winterthur. It is very similar to Unterwalden built 1902 by Escher Wyss. Uri received major rebuilds in 1949, 1961, 1981 and 1994, the latest returning to a more original appearance, following a lengthy period running with an ungainly retractable funnel design and ugly fixed upper deck cover.
