The public transport in Venice is run by ACTV. The waterborne fleet of ACTV is composed of about 152 craft and approximately a hundred pontoon boarding points. In detail, the types of craft in the fleet are vaporetti (larger water buses - 58 units), motoscafi (smaller water buses - 49 units), motoscafi ad agente unico (single-agent water buses - 10 units), motobattelli foranei (offshore motor-boats - 15 units), motonavi (foot-passenger ferries for carrying large numbers of passengers - 13 units) and navi traghetto (car ferries for vehicle transportation - 7 units). A selection of the larger craft is shown below - a new page will illustrate many of the smaller craft.

Dubrovnik
Sun 13 August 2006 Dubrovnik - Dalmatia: 9.00am-5.30pm
In Dubrovnik I was met by local ship photographers Ivo Batricevic and Neven Jerkovic who drove me to some of the many excellent photographic locations around the harbour. My thanks to them for their excellent hospitality, and all their help in providing superb images of ships in Dubrovnik.
