Littlehampton Locomotives

Sherpa

Sherpa is an 0-4-0ST half sized Darjeeling & Himalayan Class B locomotive. Designed by Neil Simkins, it was constructed by Milner Engineering (Chester) in 1978. Built for the Réseau Guerlédan, Brittany, Sherpa was originally named France, and now resident at the Fairbourne Railway in Wales.

Bo-Bo diesel hydraulic 23hp Honda Power unit driving an Eaton 7240 Hydraulic pump with 2000 Series wheel motors.

The railway has three coaches:-
   No 11 - 16 seat enclosed carriage
   No 12 - 14 seat enclosed carriage with disabled compartment.
   No 21 - open carriage (not illustrated)

Littlehampton Railway Stations

Norfolk Gardens Station

Norfolk Gardens is the western terminus of the Littlehampton Railway (HSR). Tickets are bought on the train from the driver.

Mewsbrook Park Station

Mewsbrook Park is the eastern terminus of the Littlehampton Railway (HSR). It also is the location of the engine shed and works. Tickets are bought on the train from the driver.
