Majestic
was built in steel by A. & J.Inglis of Glasgow. She was lost whilst minesweeping in 1914.

Brodick Castle (1902-1909)
210ft long - 315gt - 2-cyl simple diagonal
Brodick Castle
was built in iron by H.McIntyre of Paisley in 1878. Her engines came from the steamer
Eagle
and were built in 1864 by D.& W.Henderson. After service on the Clyde, she moved to the south coast. Cosens bought her in 1902 from the Bournemouth & South Coast Steam Packets. She was sold in 1909, and scrapped the following year.

Emperor of India (1908-1956)
217ft long - 482gt - 2-cyl compound diagonal
Emperor of India
was built in 1906 by J.I.Thorneycroft of Southampton, and was intended to be the
Princess Royal
of the
Southamton Company
. She was 195ft long and 428 gross tons.
Princess Royal
was rejected by the
Southamton Company
and was returned to her builders. The lengthened her by 21ft 8in, increasing gross tonnage to 482, and sold her to Cosens, who renamed her
Emperor of India
. She was withdrawn in 1956, and scrapped the following year.

Alexandra (1913-1932)
171ft long - 235gt - 2-cyl compound diagonal
Alexandra
was built for the Joint Railways Fleet in 1879, for Isle of Wight services. Both hull and engines were built by Scott & Co of Greenock. She was acquired by Cosens from the Bembridge & Seaview SP Co in 1913.
Alexandra
was sold in 1932 and briefly operated as the
Showboat
on the Thames. She was scrapped in 1934.

Melcombe Regis (1913-1920)
The small paddle steamer
Lune
was delivered to the joint
Lancashire & Yorkshire/London & North Western Railways
(LYR/LNWR) in 1892 to operate trips to Blackpool and Morecambe from
Fleetwood
. She was sold in 1913 to Cosens & Co, becoming the
Melcombe Regis
. She was sold for scrap in 1920.

Embassy (1938-1967)
190ft long - 381gt - 2-cyl compound diagonal
Embassy
was built for the Joint Railways Fleet in 1911, as the
Duchess of Norfolk
, for Isle of Wight services. Both hull and engines were built by D.W.Henderson & Co of Glasgow. In 1923, ownership passsed to the Southern Railway. She was acquired by Cosens in 1938.
Embassy
was converted to burn oil fuel in 1946. She was withdrawn in 1967, the last of the Cosens steamers in service, and was scrapped that year in Amsterdam in 1967.

Consul (1938-1963)
175ft long - 257gt - 2-cyl compound diagonal
The
Duke of Devonshire
was a slightly larger repeat of
Duchess of Devonshire
, and was also was built by R&H Green in London. She entered service with the
Devon Dock, Pier & SS Co
in 1896. She was 175 ft long and 257 gross tons, powered by a two-cylinder compound diagonal engine. She was designed to run up on the beach to load/unload passengers.
Duke of Devonshire
was sold to P.& A.Campbell in 1933, but was not used by them. They resold her to J.Dwyer of Cork. In 1936 she was bought by Alexander Taylor of Torquay, who resold her to Cosens & Co in 1938, and renamed her
Consul
. She served with Cosens & Co until 1963.
