160ft long - 173gt - 2-cyl simple oscillating
Empress
was built in iron by Samuda Bros of Poplar, on the River Thames, and her engines were built by J.Penn of Greenwich. When withdrawn in 1955, she had the last set of working oscillating engines in the British Isles.

Queen
was built in iron by L.Smit & Zoon in Holland, and her engines were built by the Vulcan Ironworks in Hull. She was sold to the Ardrossan harbour Board in 1920.

166/175ft long - 192/229gt - 2-cyl simple oscillating
Victoria
was built in steel by J.& K. Smit of Kindedijk, Holland, and her engines were built by J.Penn of Greenwich. She was lengthened in 1888.

was built in steel by R.& H.Green & Co at Blackwell, on the River Thames, and her engines were built by J.Penn of Greenwich.
Monarch (1)
was replaced with an ex-railway steamer in 1951, which became the
Monarch (2)
. In 2004, a very small 12-passenger paddle steamer began operations on the River Stour in Kent. Her designer, owner and builder Brian Waters named her
Monarch
after the
Monarch (1),
a favouroite of his.

Albert Victor (1889-1928)
106ft long - 128gt - single-cyl
Albert Victor
was built in iron as the
Lass o'Gowrie,
for Dundee owners, by J.T.Eltringham of South Shields in 1883. Her engines were from J.P.Reynoldson, also of South Shields. She was bought by Cosens in 1889 and renamed
Albert Victor
. At 128 gross tons, she was the smallest steamer owned by Cosens (although they did own motor boats). She was sold for breaking up in 1928.
