- This page shows company
and commercial postcards the ex-Transvaal Castle in Carnival service as the Festivale.
Page
1 showed her earlier
history on the Southampton-South Africa mail run as Transvaal
Castle and then S.A.Vaal. Page 3 shows her subsequent history as IslandBreeze.
-
- On 4th June 2003 Big
Red Boat III (sailing as Big Boat) steamed from Freeport
enroute to the shipbreakers at Alang, India, via Gibraltar. She
had the sad distinction of being the first Carnival Cruise liner
to be scrapped. I have no postcards as Big Red Boat III -
if you can help please email simplon@simplon.co.uk.
