Magdalena
was built by Harland & Wolff on 1949. She ran onto rocks off Rio de Janeiro on her first return voyage from Buenos Aires on April 25th 1949. The ship was refloated but the bow section broke off and sank under tow. The rest was broken up.

. In 1971,

was sold to Norway for conversion to a car carrier, and renamed
