Kiloran
Kiloran ran for the Devon Cruising Co
from Torquay in the 1950s. She was replaced by an ex-RN Fairmile B named
Kiloran II in 1957.
Kiloran II was sold in November 1963
(or earlier?) to Cornish Sea Cruising
Co of St Mawes. She was replaced with Devon Cruising Co at Torquay
by the Bateau Morgat, which ran daily from Haldon Pier.
Bateau Morgat had previously run at Brest, and was built
in 1953. Her dimensions were 100ft x 24ft, gross tonnage 147,
and carrying 400 passengers.

Kiloran ran for the Devon Cruising Co
from Torquay in the 1950s. She was replaced by an ex-RN Fairmile B named Kiloran II in 1957.
She had been built in Maldon by J.Sadd in 1941 and was 112ft long.
Converted to a yacht 10 years later, she was named Lepanto.
For the 1956 season she was bought by Cambrian Marine Line Ltd of
Liverpool and made cruises from Conway, Menai and Llandudno as
Cambrian Prince. She was sold to Devon Cruising Co the
following year becoming the Kiloran II
where she remained for seven seasons.
Kiloran II was sold in November 1963 to Cornish Sea Cruising
Co of St Mawes, where she specialised in a five-hour cruise viewing some sixty
miles of the Cornish Coast and the Rivers Fal and Helford.. She was replaced with Devon Cruising Co at Torquay
by the Bateau Morgat, which ran daily from Haldon Pier.
