In 1977, the Arundel-based Littlehampton Launch Co was running launches Arundel Castle (60 pass), Britannia (82 pass) and Jolly Roger (61 pass) on the River Arun between Littlehampton, Arundel and Amberley. By 1981, Littlehampton Motor Boat Services had joined them on the Arun with the Sea Bird (35 pass), running short sea cruises from Littlehampton. She was joined by the 1945-built Pride of Test (71 pass) by 1985, running from Arundel for J.Puttnam, later known as Arundel River Cruises. They had ceased operation by 1991, by which time the Littlehampton Launch Co had become River Arun Cruises, still running the same three vessels. For 1995, the fleet was joined by Britannia II, a smaller 28ft launch built 1953, carrying 20 passengers. She had left the fleet again by 1997. Also by this time, a vessel named Sea Crest (1921, 39ft, 75 pass) was running for Bon Hope Cruises in Portsmouth - I am not sure if this is the same boat later owned by Arundel Boatyard.

All River Arun service had ceased by 1999, but in 2001 Skylark Cruises of Littlehampton were running Arundel Castle (1977, 27ft, 30 pass - previously P.H.Ferry No2) and Skylark (1969, 35ft, 45 pass) between Littlehampton, Arundel and Amberley. By 2007, the Arundel Boatyard was running Arundel Castle along with the similar Amberley Castle from their yard near the Arun Bridge at Arundel, where they also hire rowing and motor boats plus have a tea garden. Amberley Castle was sold the following year.
