Abel Tasman
(TT-Line: 1985-93)

Abel Tasman was built as the Nils Holgersson (3) in 1975 by Werft Nobiskrug, Rendsburg, for the TT Line Travemünde-Trelleborg route. She was sold in 1984 to Transport Tasmania, for service between Devonport (Tasmania) and Melbourne (Australia) as the Abel Tasman. In 1985, ownership was listed as the Government of Tasmania. In 1993 she was laid up following replacement by the ferry Peter Pan, which became the Spirit of Tasmania. She was sold to following year to Ventouris, becoming the Pollux, and served on the route Igoumenitsa-Bari. In 1995, Pollux was sold to NEL Lines for service Piraeus-Lesos-Chios-Thessaloniki.

(TT-Line 1993-2002 )

Spirit of Tasmania was built as the Peter Pan (3) in 1986 by Schichau Seebeckswerft AG, Bremerhaven, for the TT Line Travemünde-Trelleborg route. She was sold in 1993 to the Government of Tasmania, for service between Devonport (Tasmania) and Melbourne (Australia) as the Spirit of Tasmania. She was laid up in Sydney in 2002 following the arrival of the two Superfast ferries. In 2003, she was bought by Fjord Line to replace the Bergen on their Bergen-hantsholm route as the Fjord Norway.

Spirit of Tasmania II (TT-Line: 2002- )
Spirit of Tasmania III (TT-Line: 2003-2006)

Spirit of Tasmania I and Spirit of Tasmania II were built as the Greek ferries Superfast III and Superfast IV, in 1998. They are 29067grt, 194.4m long, and carry 1400 passengers and 1852 lane metres of vehicles. They were acquired in 2002, and replaced the previous Spirit of Tasmania, which was then made available for sale.

Spirit of Tasmania I and Spirit of Tasmania II were joined by Spirit of Tasmania III (ex-Superfast II) in 2003 which revived the longer Sydney-Davenport route from January 2004. This was not profitable and she was sold in 2006 to Corsica Ferries who rebuilt her and renamed her Mega Express Four.
