Azura was delivered in March 2010 from Fincantieri-Cant. Nav. Italiani S.p.A., Monfalcone (Yard/hull No: 6166). She is in the same series as various Princess ships and P&O's Ventura which was launched in June 2007 and delivered in March 2008 from Fincantieri (Yard/hull No: 6132). Azura voyage A406A was an eastbound trans-Atlantic crossing from Barbados calling at St Lucia, Antigua, St Maarten and Sao Miguel (Azores) plus nine sea days. We usually had dinner in the Meridian Restaurant - the Freedom Dining option. Breakfast could be be taken in the Oriental Restaurant (with dark panelling) or the Peninsular Restaurant (with lighter coloured panelling), which also served lunch. Our cabin was L242 on Deck 15. This was a standard balcony cabin - compact but fine for two people. |
