Cruise Ships 2001

This page will show official and commercial postcards of cruise ships due to be delivered during 2001. I will add cards for the ships as they become available, and any help in finding these cards would be appreciated. I will purchase cards, or swap for others that I have available. These cards are not for sale unless it specifically states otherwise. This page is still under construction.

The first Princess official postcard of Golden Princess.
It uses the same image as a card of Grand Princess, and examination with a magnifying glass shows that the ship's name has not even been changed.

These photographs of Golden Princess are by Ian Boyle, on her maiden voyage from Southampton on 16th May 2001. For further pictures in this series follow this link. The two images below have been issued as isc2001 and isc2003 in the first batch of Simplon Photographs (not postcards). For more details follow this link.

This is the generic postcard for R One to R Nine (the last is due in 2002)

This is another generic Renaissance postcard for R One to R Nine - a nice enough card until one notices the hopelessly skewed horizon. The image beneath it shows the same card adjusted to correct this fault.
