Eglantine

This page is one of a series devoted to postcards and photographs of Belgian ro-ro operators Cobelfret. The page shows the ro-ro ship Eglantine of 1990.
 
Eglantine was built in China in 1990. Eglantine is 147.7 metres long, 10035 gross tons and has MaK diesels totalling 5295 kW, which give a service speed of 14.5 knots. She can carry 12 drivers. Eglantine entered service between Zeebrugge and Purfleet on the Thames. In 2003 she transferred to the service from Vlissingen to the Ford's Wharf at Dagenham, but has also served on the weekend Southampton route.
