Club Med Cruises
This page is under construction
This page is devoted to postcards and photographs of Club Med Cruises.
Club Méditerranée, commonly known as Club Med, is a French corporation of vacation resorts found in many parts of the world, usually in exotic locations. It is seen by many as having started the all-inclusive resort concept (although Frenchman's Cove Resort in Portland, Jamaica is regarded as the world's first all-inclusive resort). They later diversified into charters of cruise ships, and when Holland America subsidiary
Windstar Sail Cruises
decided not to pursue orders for two motor-sail-yachts under construction by Société Nouvelle des Ateliers et Chantiers du Havre, they were assisted in buying them by the French government. They were named
Club Med 1
and
Club Med 2
.
Windstar Sail Cruises
later purchased
Club Med 1
and renamed her with her intended name of
Wind Surf
.
