- Bought by Chandris in 1960,
Romantica was built as the Furness, Withy steamer Fort
Townshend in 1911. She cruised for Chandris until being laid-up
in 1977. She was scrapped in 1984. I have not been able to obtain
a Chandris official card of Romantica yet, but show below
an interesting harbour scene from Piraeus, which shows the stern
of Romantica.

In the centre is the Efthymiadis Lines Patras, formerly
Messageries Maritimes Pierre Loti. I believe with ship
between Patras and Romantica is the HML vessel
Isthmia.
