Pennsylvania was built for the Hamburg America Line in 1896. In 1900 she was rebuilt to rebuilt to 13,333 tons. In 1917 Pennsylvania was seized by US Government, and renamed Nansemond.

(1897 - 12,481 gt)
 
1899 ex- North German Lloyd, 1900 rejected after 10 voyages to New York and laid up until 1912 when sold to Cie Sud-Atlantique,Bordeaux, renamed Burdigala.
 
 
 
 
 
Pretoria
(1897 - 12,800 gt)
 
1919 taken over by US Government, 1920 ceded to Britain and operated by Ellerman Line.
