Founding editor Ian Boyle created Simplon Postcards to showcase his passion for passenger shipping and his wider transport interests. He travelled extensively, took thousands of photographs, and built up a fine collection of postcards. The site was developed over a 20 year period and now contains over 2,300 pages and 148,000 images.
