This page is devoted to postcards and photographs of Seven Seas Cruises.
An alphabetical list of ships
shown on this page is shown below.
The Table
beneath gives links to complete history pages on selected individual ships. Below the table is a
Fleet List
in chronological order.
Seven Seas Cruises has had a complicated ownership history. In 1992, the Carlsson leisure group formed diamond Cruise Line, later Radisson Diamond Cruises, with the unusual SWATH cruise ship
Radisson Diamond
. They later took over Seven Seas Cruises, with its ship
Song of Flower
, and the combined company became Radisson Seven Seas Cruises. They then took over the lease of
Paul Gauguin
in 1997. A joint venture with V-Ships began in 1999 with the delivery of
Seven Seas Navigator
in 1999, subsequently followed by
Seven Seas Mariner
and
Seven Seas Voyager
.
Song of Flower
was sold to the Cie des Iles du Ponant in 2003, and
Radisson Diamond
was sold to Asia Cruiser Club in 2005. Seven Seas has more recently been linked with Regent Hotels, and a new 'Regent' funnel logo has been added to the fleet.

Song of Flower
(8382 grt, 1995-2003)
Song of Flower
was built as the ro-ro freighter Begonia in 1974 for Fearnley & Eger. In 1985 she was sent to Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven for rebuilding as the exploration cruise ship
Explorer Starship
. She was chartered to Exploration Cruise Line until their bankruptcy in 1988. Fearnley & Eger re-acquired the ship and sold her to Seven Seas Cruise Line, a new company set up by Kawasaki Kisen kaisha Line and Skaugen. Following conversion into a luxury cruise ship she was renamed
Song of Flower
in February 1990. Radisson Diamond Cruises took over Seven Seas Cruises in 1995, with its ship
Song of Flower
, and the combined company became Radisson Seven Seas Cruises.
Song of Flower
was sold to the Cie des Iles du Ponant in 2003.
