Normandie was built by Kvaerner Masa-Yards, Åbo, Finland in 1992, for the Brittany Ferries Caen-Portsmouth service. She is 161.4 m long, and 27541 gross tons. Normandie carries 2160 passengers (774 berths) and 680 cars, and has 1720 lanemetres for freight.
